Summary:
  • Iambic Therapeutics Inc. has registered for a U.S. initial public offering, according to a Monday filing with the SEC.
  • The San Diego company applies AI to drug discovery and plans to put IPO proceeds toward three early-stage cancer programs.
  • In the half year through June 30, 2026, it posted a $50.1 million net loss on $12.8 million in revenue, compared with a $33.2 million loss on $3.9 million in revenue in the same period a year earlier.

What the filing says

Iambic bills itself as a clinical-stage life sciences and technology outfit using artificial intelligence to craft new medicines. The paperwork lists Nvidia Corp. as a shareholder and notes partnerships that include Nvidia and Lambda Inc., an AI cloud provider.

Partnerships and investors

The company is collaborating with Abbvie Inc. on therapies spanning immunology, neuroscience and oncology, and it also maintains relationships with Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. and H. Lundbeck A/S. Since launching in 2019, Iambic has brought in $461.8 million from a mix of technology and health care oriented backers. Among the largest holders: Catalio Capital Management, Nexus Venture Partners, Coatue, Nvidia and the Qatar Investment Authority's health care focused investment arm.

Deal details and finances

Iambic plans to channel IPO funds into three oncology candidates still in early development. JPMorgan Chase & Co., Jefferies Financial Group Inc., Bank of America Corp., and Citigroup Inc. are leading the underwriting. Iambic plans to list on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker IAM.
