What the subgroup did
Seven OPEC+ producers met Sunday and left their headline December quotas in place, having already phased out the remaining voluntary curbs in September. They will continue monthly check-ins on market conditions, with the next session set for Nov. 29 alongside the broader OPEC+ meeting.

Compensation cuts and flows
Kazakhstan and Oman are applying separate make-up cuts last revised on April 7. Those changes lowered Kazakhstan's effective limit to 710,000 barrels a day in May and 720,000 in June, while Oman's adjustment set May at 812,000 barrels a day and June at 806,000. The make-up period was extended through the end of the year, and there are no published compensation levels beyond June.
At the same time, more crude is moving via the Strait of Hormuz, and exports sent along a Saudi Red Sea corridor rose in October. Even with those lanes, OPEC+ producers around the Persian Gulf still face practical limits on how fully they can tap higher targets.
Why it matters for your portfolio
Put the steady December quotas together with Kazakhstan and Oman's make-up cuts and the monthly meeting cadence, and near-term oil balances still lean on compliance and logistics, not just headline targets. For energy stocks and oil-linked assets, realized exports and those Nov. 29 readouts may matter more than the printed quota path.
