On Thursday, Sept. 24, Trump will welcome Xi and Peng at the White House before the two leaders head to the Rose Garden for a military review, then begin a bilateral meeting. Over the course of the day, Melania Trump and Peng are slated to take part in a distinct engagement somewhere in the Washington area, with the White House withholding specifics for now. That night, the Trumps plan to welcome Xi and Peng to the East Room for an official state dinner. Both Trump and Xi will deliver remarks at the start of the dinner, which will include guests such as technology and finance executives.
