What Happened and Why It Matters
The funding provides BusinessNext with entry to ServiceNow's worldwide sales channels as the two firms deepen their collaboration in AI for banking. BusinessNext was built from the ground up around artificial intelligence. Its founder and CEO, Nishant Singh, said: "We actually renamed our company and we kind of rewrote our stack to put that fundamentally at the core."
Kulmeet Bawa, ServiceNow's group VP and head of India and SAARC operations, said: "India's financial services sector is at an inflection point - institutions are moving from digital experimentation to full-scale AI-led operations."
The partnership comes amid a broader shift in the banking industry toward AI-driven operations. BusinessNext's platform, which handles customer-facing workflows such as loan origination and account management, will be paired with ServiceNow's expertise in automating internal processes like IT service management and HR. This combination could help banks reduce costs and accelerate digital transformation.
With ServiceNow's global distribution network, BusinessNext expects to scale quickly in regions like the Middle East and Southeast Asia, where it already has a presence.

This investment reflects the growing demand for specialized AI tools in heavily regulated industries such as banking. Traditional software providers are under pressure to deliver more than generic automation, and ServiceNow's move to back a domain-specific AI company signals a strategic bet on verticalized solutions. BusinessNext's deep integrations with core banking systems and pre-built AI models for credit risk, compliance, and customer engagement give ServiceNow a ready-made entry into a sector that has been slow to adopt cloud-native tools.
Who Is BusinessNext and Why ServiceNow Wanted In
BusinessNext was founded in 2002 and rebranded from CRMNext in 2022. In its latest financial year, the company generated about $32 million in revenue and employs more than 1,300 people.
Singh said the partnership would help BusinessNext "borrow" ServiceNow's go-to-market "machinery" in regions where it is not yet well established. He described the arrangement as "a strategic partnership, which is cemented with funding."
According to private market data provider Tracxn, BusinessNext's previous valuation stood at $181 million in 2021. Investors in BusinessNext include Norwest Venture Partners, Avataar Ventures, and Ascent Capital, which together have contributed over $60 million.
What ServiceNow Brings to the Table
For BusinessNext, the appeal is access to ServiceNow's global sales network. Singh noted that the collaboration would enable BusinessNext to grow in regions where it currently lacks a strong foothold.
This investment arrives at a time when long-standing enterprise software providers are under scrutiny from clients who doubt the value of conventional SaaS tools compared to emerging AI-native solutions. From ServiceNow's perspective, the partnership strengthens its foothold in the banking sector by aligning with a firm specializing in AI-powered banking solutions.
