Funding Round Details
Fresh funding has been secured by DeepX Co., a South Korean designer of AI chips based in Pangyo. The new valuation is roughly four times its previous valuation.
DeepX has wrapped up the initial part of its Series D funding. The overall round remains open.
Once the entire round is finished, the company could be valued at as much as 3.5 trillion won on a post-money basis. That would exceed the roughly 3.14 trillion won, or $2.2 billion, valuation attached to the latest installment.
A DeepX spokesperson said, "The company has signed more than 30 production agreements in eight countries and is seeking up to 300 billion won in additional funding by September."
