What Moonshot rolled out and who is on board
Beijing-based Moonshot is pushing its Kimi AI from demo to desk use with a finance-focused rollout. The company said financial industry heavyweights are already tapping the models, highlighting investment bank CICC alongside venture backers including Sequoia China - which has since adopted the name Hong Shan.
Data pipes, access and pricing
Kimi now plugs into analysis staples through tie ups with S&P Global Market Intelligence, Crunchbase, Wind, leading local financial news providers and the corporate registry database Tianyancha. Moonshot also said Kimi can pull directly from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's EDGAR system for company filings, the IMF, the World Bank and the U.S. Federal Reserve Economic Data site. There is no separate interface to install. A check of Kimi's mobile app indicated that the data you see depends on your plan, with subscriptions starting at 49 yuan ($7.31) and going up to 699 yuan ($104.23) per month.
Model lineup and industry reaction
Moonshot's Kimi K3 model, released in July, is aimed at competing with offerings from leading U.S. companies. Whether Deutsche Bank was among its clients was not immediately evident. A request for comment did not receive an immediate reply from the bank.

The business backdrop
Reports suggest the startup confidentially submitted paperwork for a Hong Kong IPO. The company has stated it declines to comment on market rumors or speculation. For everyday users, the pitch is simpler: finance grade datasets in one AI that can grab filings, macro series and deal intel without juggling ten tabs. Pricing looks more like a software subscription than a data terminal, which could shorten the hop from raw numbers to a credible first take on a company or a theme.
