A surprising sales bump
Rogaine is getting a lift alongside the GLP-1 wave. Kimberly-Clark says the brand's sales have climbed 30% this year, and Chief Executive Officer Mike Hsu told analysts he "didn't know this," adding the increase "may be driven by some GLP-1 adoption."
Why doctors and companies are paying attention
Some patients on popular weight-loss drugs are seeing more hair fall out. Physicians largely attribute the shedding to rapid weight loss that stresses the body and increases hair loss. Hair thinning commonly appears several months following major weight reduction and is typically temporary, even as scientists investigate if the drugs themselves play a role.
Market response and product moves
With millions of Americans using the drugs to slim down, demand for fixes to those side effects is turning into real revenue for personal-care companies. At the same time, the sector is pushing targeted products as inflation has softened overall demand, and shoppers are more open to higher prices when performance improves.
Kimberly-Clark says its hair care business has been "very good," and Rogaine - gained in the Kenvue deal - accounts for about 9% of the global hair loss prevention market. Future Market Insights puts that market around 10 billion dollars in 2025 and projects roughly 23 billion dollars by 2035. Companies including VeraDermics Inc. and Pelage Pharmaceuticals are pursuing stronger therapies for hair loss, and GLP-1 makers Eli Lilly & Co. and Novo Nordisk A/S have likewise indicated interest in the space.

What this means for your portfolio
The backdrop is simple: brands addressing specific problems are finding buyers even as inflation pressures overall volumes, especially when they can justify price hikes with better results. If the GLP-1 era continues to expand, hair-loss solutions and adjacent products could keep seeing steady tailwinds across a market that forecasters expect to more than double by 2035.
