What happened
Higgsfield Inc., an AI video startup based in San Francisco, said Nvidia Corp. and TCV are joining its investor list to fund worldwide infrastructure and expand headcount to meet rising demand. The company's engineering bench is largely in Kazakhstan, and the announcement coincided with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang's visit there.
The money comes as an add-on to Higgsfield's August Series B, led by DST Global, which totaled $400 million and set the valuation at $5.4 billion. Since that summer round, Higgsfield said it has added 10 million paying customers, and total registered users have climbed past 40 million.
TCV, known for growth bets on Netflix Inc., Spotify AB and ByteDance Ltd., said it is investing because the company has shown "a radically faster, professional-grade and AI-native mechanism for creators, brand marketers and agencies alike to turn ideas into images and video."
What Higgsfield actually builds
Higgsfield presents its service to brands and creators who want to generate large volumes of media. Its platform offers a hub that taps roughly 35 third party AI video models alongside its own engine, so users can mix and match tools for stages like storyboards, character work, audio and final output.
According to Jensen Huang, advances across AI infrastructure and reasoning are now reshaping what outfits such as Higgsfield can provide. While the system once produced only short clips, he said it now supports much longer videos that hold together in the physics and timing of scenes, enabling coherent storytelling. "In just one year's time, it has improved tremendously," he said. "It's not possible without agentic reasoning systems, and so the technology has become very useful in video generation."

The broader AI video race
Making video with AI takes heavy capital, yet engagement and investor dollars are flowing. In China, Kling AI - owned by Kuaishou Technology - secured $2.8 billion this summer at roughly a $15 billion valuation. In the U.S., Runway AI Inc. raised $315 million in February at a $5.3 billion valuation, with Nvidia participating in the round.
Higgsfield, founded in 2023 by Alex Mashrabov, a former Snap executive, and Kazakhstani AI engineer Yerzat Dulat, is currently pacing toward annualized revenue above $1 billion, Mashrabov said last month.
Kazakhstan angle and why investors should care
Huang, speaking at a fireside chat in Astana, framed Kazakhstan as a potential AI compute hub, citing abundant energy and planned data center capacity. "You're able to bridge the culture and the expertise from two different nations, and they're competing globally," he said. A photo caption identifies Huang with Deputy Prime Minister Zhaslan Madiyev in Astana on Oct. 23, credited to Astana Hub.
The bottom line: capital, compute and customers are concentrating around AI video platforms that can scale. Higgsfield's mix of cross-border engineering, rising paid adoption and brand-focused tooling shows where the growth narrative is headed - and where suppliers like Nvidia are leaning in.
