The numbers and why they matter
Hon Hai reported October sales of NT$1.31 trillion, a 46% increase that mirrored resilient appetite for Nvidia Corp. servers at the core of a global AI buildout. For context, analysts on average had expected about a 30% sales rise for the three months ending December, so last month's print came in hot versus the broader quarterly bar. Business mix and market view
The Taipei-based manufacturer, also known as Foxconn, works with Nvidia and furnishes server hardware for the leading cloud platforms. Even with that exposure, a significant share of revenue still comes from lower-margin work for Apple. Hon Hai is the main producer of iPhones, operating assembly plants in China and India, while Apple broadens its supplier base to firms including Luxshare Precision Industry Co.

What investors should watch
Hon Hai's financials have benefited from two years of global data center construction, and investors often use its monthly sales to gauge AI momentum. That signal is important because the industry is grappling with concerns over excess capacity, mounting debt, and regulatory scrutiny. Since the start of the year, the shares are only 2% higher, surrendering a large portion of their 2026 gain as AI-related trading has whipsawed lately.
