Adani Ports will acquire Evos from Igneo in €2.56B enterprise deal

Published Nov 5, 2026
Share:
Summary:
  • Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone will acquire Evos BV from Igneo Infrastructure Partners for €2.56 billion at the enterprise level, or about $2.9 billion.
  • The transaction pegs Evos' equity value at €1.18 billion and adds 6.3 million cubic meters of capacity across eight European terminals.
  • In 2025, Evos processed throughput totaling 37 million metric tonnes, and its facilities ran at an average commercial occupancy rate of 99%.

The plan and the price tag

Adani Ports said it intends to purchase Evos BV from Igneo Infrastructure Partners in a proposed deal valued at €2.56 billion on an enterprise basis, roughly $2.9 billion. The company put the equity portion at €1.18 billion.

What Evos would bring

Described as Europe's second-largest independent liquid storage operator, Evos has 6.3 million cubic meters of capacity across eight port terminals in the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Belgium and Malta. The sites sit in major energy and industrial centers - among them the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp region, Hamburg, and the Mediterranean.

The platform spans 452 tanks and 63 vessels and barge berths, with pipeline connections that include Schiphol airport and the Central Europe Pipeline System. According to the company, throughput reached 37 million metric tonnes in 2025.

Smart investors look beyond headlines to find tools that improve decision making. We're hosting our first ever investor livestream on 11/17 to show you how to use ChatGPT and Claude to invest like a pro, hosted by Briefs Finance CEO Jaspreet Singh. Save your seat.

Customers, cash flows and the market's take

Adani pointed to a diversified roster of blue-chip clients at Evos, naming global energy majors, chemical producers and commodity traders, and described the business as generating highly visible cash flows. Commercial occupancy averages 99%.

Following the announcement, Adani Ports' stock in Mumbai gave up earlier gains, falling as much as 1.33 percent intraday and closing down 0.8 percent.

Why it matters for your portfolio

"Evos marks an important milestone in APSEZ's trajectory towards handling 1 billion tons of cargo and building a truly global, integrated transport platform," Managing Director Karan Adani said. If this deal goes through, it would extend Adani Ports' reach into core European energy corridors with high utilization storage assets, even as the initial share move shows investors are already pricing the shift.

Learning new approaches can gently tilt the odds in an investor's favor. On 11/17, our CEO Jaspreet Singh goes live for our first ever investor livestream on how to use ChatGPT and Claude to invest like a pro. Register to join him.
