Partnership details
Clark's pact spans both Dick's Sporting Goods and Foot Locker, a milestone for each brand because neither had previously appointed a single athlete as a brand partner. This marks Dick's Inc.'s inaugural co-branded athlete deal uniting Dick's and Foot Locker, despite both retailers historically using athletes for advertising, in-store cameos and the like rather than elevating them to brand-level positions.
She will team with the retailers on custom promotions supporting her signature shoes, apparel and related products, and she will participate in activations and community programming. Clark credited the companies' deep ties to sport and basketball and their global fan reach. "Dick's Sporting Goods was always a stop before the start of any sports season when I was growing up," she said. "Being the first ever brand partner for both them and Foot Locker is a really special full-circle moment."
Product momentum
Nike and Clark's first signature shoe launched worldwide on Oct. 1, alongside an 18-piece apparel assortment, and Nike says it was the largest women's signature shoe debut in the company's history. Demand spiked, and stock disappeared in just a few hours across Nike.com and other sneaker e-commerce outlets. On Oct. 01, 2026, at Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, Clark took the court in the Nike Caitlin 1 during the second quarter of Game Three in the first round of the 2026 WNBA Playoffs against the Las Vegas Aces.

What executives are saying
Dick's CEO Ed Stack said he wants to build on the excitement Clark brings to the game and to new fans. "This partnership offers new ways to come together around a shared passion for sport, and the possibilities it creates," he said. Brett O'Brien, an SVP who leads marketing for Foot Locker North America, added, "Caitlin's influence reaches far beyond the court. She has captivated fans, inspired a new generation, and brought new energy to the game."
Investor takeaway
Even after the Indiana Fever's first round exit, Clark is still among the WNBA's most prominent stars, and a championship has not come her way yet. A new SportsPro ranking lists her as the WNBA's most marketable player today, as well as the No. 15 most marketable athlete across the globe. She already holds long term endorsement deals with Nike, Wilson, Gatorade, State Farm and Panini. The bottom line: a top tier athlete is now directly tied to two major retail channels while her signature products show rapid sell through - a setup worth watching if you track sporting goods and sneaker names.
