What Anthropic is building
Anthropic is launching the Claude Frontier Academy to help partner companies embed AI into everyday work, drawing on what it has learned rolling out Claude inside large enterprises. The focus is practical: equip engineers who already know their company's systems with top-tier AI fluency so they can solve real business problems.
Who is in the first wave
Engineers in the first cohorts include staff from Accenture, Morgan Stanley, Novo Nordisk, and several leading consulting firms. By the close of 2027, the academy's target is to have prepared 10,000 "frontier deployed engineers" working at firms within the Claude Partner Network.
How the training works
Participants begin with a rigorous "simulated enterprise deployment" and a graded assessment. Those who pass move into a residency modeled on medical training, learning from instructors, working through casework, and then undergoing evaluation for credentials. The earliest cohort of engineers is slated to receive certification in early 2027.

Why now, and the bigger picture
AI hiring is running hot across industries, with finance seeing a surge in listings for forward deployed engineers and other AI roles this year, according to Draup data shared exclusively with CNBC. Anthropic is scaling fast amid that demand. The company is expected to list later this year, and it could reportedly pursue a $2 trillion valuation. Earlier this week, Reuters said a leaked IPO filing indicated nearly $4.6 billion in revenue last year and operating losses of more than $8 billion.
