Fast launch, fast run on sizes
At 10 a.m. ET, Nike.com switched on sales for the Caitlin 1, sparking an immediate rush. Roughly an hour later, the site was down to extra large sizes above 15, and less than two hours after launch the shoe was nearly sold out. The drop is adult sizing for now, with kids' options labeled "coming soon." Nike has not said how many pairs were in the release.
Where else it popped and what it costs
Major chains showed the same pattern, with Foot Locker, Champs Sports, and Hibbett also indicating the shoe was nearly sold out. The Caitlin 1 is priced at $140 and arrives in two colorways: "Caitlin Blue" and a bright yellow. On resale sites like eBay, pairs are already posted at $200 and up.
The moment and the money backdrop
This debut lands during a big week on and off the court. Clark and the Indiana Fever play a decisive Game 3 on Thursday at 9 p.m. ET in Las Vegas against the Aces.
"A lot of thought and time has gone into this shoe," Clark said when the model was unveiled. "I never thought I would have my own signature shoe, and now that I do, it's pretty special." Nike first signed Clark in 2022 while she was starring at the University of Iowa, and in April 2024 she agreed to a reported eight-year, $28 million deal.

The drop also tees up a key investor check-in: Nike reports first-quarter results after Thursday's closing bell, and over the past twelve months its shares are down in excess of 50%. A near sellout gives fans something to talk about while investors wait to see if the momentum shows up in the numbers.
