Lamborghini just dropped its most extreme car yet.
On Friday, the Italian automaker unveiled the Revuelto SV, a hybrid V12 flagship built in limited numbers. No production Lamborghini to leave the factory has ever been quicker or more powerful. "The electrified setup pumps up the adrenaline and emotional response behind the wheel," Lamborghini's product chief said in an interview with CNBC. The Revuelto SV joins a lineage that began with the Miura SV 55 years ago.
The price? $741,172 to start, and Lamborghini will build just 1,963 examples.

Everything traces back to the Miura SV, and over the past five decades the badge has been attached to successively leaner, more sculpted, and far more formidable editions of Lamborghini's top-tier supercars. The Revuelto SV carries that heritage forward, applying advanced engineering with the extravagance and power that enthusiasts expect.
Alessandro Farmeschi, the Revuelto's product line director, said the goal was simple. "The Revuelto SV gives our customers the opportunity to go beyond in terms of performance," he said. "We wanted to give them something more race-oriented, and, at the same time, something that could give them the adrenaline of driving Lamborghini [while] really enjoying and staying in control."
The SV badge has always denoted a sharper take on Lamborghini's flagship V12. The Revuelto SV carries that idea into the rest: there is the hybrid powertrain, revised aerodynamic treatment, and the production cap of 1,963 cars.
At the heart of the powertrain is a naturally aspirated V12, joined by three electric motors. Together they deliver more than 1,050 horsepower and can take the car from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.4 seconds.
The performance gains are amplified by a more aggressive aero package: crisper body lines, large fins, wings, and intakes manage airflow and increase downforce.
Farmeschi says the V12's voice is a huge part of the appeal. "The engine sound is crucial," he said. "The V12 has been the key since the very beginning, since the foundation of the company."
The hybrid system is not just about raw output; it also enhances drivability. The three electric motors provide instant torque, making the car more responsive during acceleration and cornering. This technology also helps meet stricter emissions standards, allowing Lamborghini to preserve its V12 heritage while embracing electrification. With only 1,963 units planned, the Revuelto SV is as exclusive as it is quick.
Farmeschi also spoke about why clients choose Lamborghini. "When our clients choose a Lamborghini, they choose us when because of the design, together with the technology applied," he said. "So you need to have the substance; you need to work on the technical part of the car."
