What Hubble is building
Hubble Network, based in Seattle and led by Life360 co-founder Alex Haro, plans to deploy 60 spacecraft in low-Earth orbit to link up with Bluetooth-enabled devices worldwide. The setup pairs satellites with a terrestrial network so items with a small Bluetooth chip can be monitored virtually anywhere.
How the service works and what it costs
Using Hubble's combined ground and space network requires a roughly 50 cent Bluetooth chip plus a $4 monthly subscription. The service is already live for customers, and the company says data speed will improve as more satellites launch. Haro summed up the pitch: "You can have a full solution that allows you to keep track of that package, literally from the warehouse all the way to your door and be able to track it in real time." He also said Hubble's system provides more visibility than current cellular trackers.
Investors, partners and timeline
The financing was led by Smith Point Capital, with participation from Seraphim Space, Carthona Capital and RPM Ventures. Since its 2021 founding, Hubble has raised $300 million in total. Six satellites are currently in orbit, and the company expects a fully deployed network by 2030. To manufacture the satellites, Hubble has partnered with Muon Space Inc., and it is running trials with early customers such as the software company Samsara Inc.

Why this could matter for your money
Hubble says it is among the first to enable Bluetooth connectivity from space, which could reduce the infrastructure needed to track items. With hardware that costs about pocket change and a low monthly fee, Haro said even lower-value goods, like a new pair of shoes, can make sense to monitor. The company also says performance will increase as more spacecraft are added, which could expand how and where everyday items are tracked.
