The Payout and the Structure Behind It
A UK filing shows a Koch Inc. affiliate received close to $700 million in distributions last year from Infor's international arm. As a result, the aggregate payouts for the past two financial years were just shy of $1 billion. The vehicle in question, Infor Foreign Investments LP, sits above most of Infor's entities outside the US. Koch Inc. declined to comment.
What The Numbers Say About Infor
The filing reports that software-as-a-service sales and operating revenue at Infor Foreign Investments LP climbed more than a quarter in 2025 to $509 million. Even with artificial intelligence intensifying competition across software, the results indicate there is still substantial profit being generated.

How Koch Ended Up Owning It All
Koch bought the remaining slice of Infor in 2020 as pandemic conditions pushed borrowing costs lower. With that deal, Koch's spending tied to technology over a six-year stretch topped $26 billion, building on an initial Infor investment made in 2017. The conglomerate reports more than $125 billion in annual revenue and a workforce of about 130,000 across 50 plus countries. It says roughly 90% of earnings are plowed back into the business, which spans packaging, oil refining, and chemicals.
Why This Matters For Your Money
Big distributions like this show how private owners can pull cash upstream when a portfolio company is performing. It also underscores the scale at play: the Bloomberg Billionaires Index pegs Charles Koch at more than $70 billion, while Julia Koch, the widow of David, and her family sit around $78.2 billion, which includes a minority holding in the Brooklyn Nets.
