Deal Details
Raiffeisen is teaming up with Vienna-based Bitpanda to give customers access to digital assets through the bank. The firms announced the partnership in a joint statement on Wednesday, noting that availability will expand gradually across Raiffeisen subsidiaries in central and eastern Europe.
Existing Reach And Partners
Bitpanda already provides similar crypto access for multiple banks, including Germany's N26. It also works with Austria's provincial banks, which are Raiffeisen's largest shareholders. Beyond crypto, Bitpanda is looking to deepen ties with banks and offer retail investors more asset classes to help offset crypto volatility, while it considers a potential stock listing.
