What happened
Palantir Technologies Inc. sued after arguing that a major London police services contract was shelved due to concerns about its "values or ethics." On Wednesday, Palantir and the Mayor of London's office issued a joint statement saying they have settled the case and will each pull back their claims.
What each side acknowledged
Palantir acknowledged that the Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime's decision was "not based on Palantir's values or ethics or any wider reporting about the company." Meanwhile, the mayor's office stated that media reporting on remarks from Mayor Sadiq Khan's spokesperson "could have incorrectly created the impression that an assessment of the company's values had been a factor in that decision."
