ElevenLabs Names Ashley Kramer First Chief Revenue Officer as Enterprise Sales Take the Lead

Summary:
  • ElevenLabs tapped Ashley Kramer, formerly OpenAI's vice president of enterprise sales, as its first chief revenue officer.
  • Enterprise customers now contribute more than half of ElevenLabs' revenue, up from 40% last year; in July the company said its annual recurring revenue crossed $600 million.
  • Founded in 2022, ElevenLabs builds voice and audio models used by Meta, Stripe, Deustche Telekom AG, and Revolut.

New Leader for a Business-First Phase

ElevenLabs has brought on Ashley Kramer as its inaugural chief revenue officer. She previously led enterprise sales at OpenAI and earlier held posts at GitLab Inc., Oracle Corp., and NASA. The hire arrives as the company leans harder into business buyers over consumers; enterprise now makes up a majority of revenue compared with 40% a year ago. Chief Executive Officer Mati Staniszewski called that shift an inflection point.

Kramer said she decided to join before the recent senior departures at OpenAI, a stretch that saw Chief Revenue Officer Denise Dresser and Chief Operating Officer Brad Lightcap depart, as did Fidji Simo, who had been responsible for a large share of the company's core business. Her move, she said, was about joining a "world-class team."

What ElevenLabs Sells and Who Buys It

ElevenLabs develops voice and audio models that run AI agents for sales teams and customer contact centers, handle audiobook narration, and convert ads into additional languages. Its customer list includes Meta Platforms Inc., Stripe LLC, Deustche Telekom AG, and Revolut Ltd.

In July, ElevenLabs said its annual recurring revenue topped $600 million. ARR is an annualized revenue metric that startups often use to show growth. Bloomberg News also reported the company has held early talks about a program that would let employees sell shares in a deal valuing the firm at roughly $22 billion.

The Numbers and the Competitive Heat

Even with the recent momentum, ElevenLabs is still smaller on revenue run rate and valuation than the biggest general-purpose model makers. Bloomberg reported that Anthropic PBC, which is preparing for a major listing, told investors its annualized revenue is on track to reach $65 billion. OpenAI is pacing toward more than $40 billion in annualized revenue based on current performance.

Frontier AI firms are under the gun to demonstrate profitability because training and running models demand enormous, expensive compute. They are also up against a fast-growing group of Chinese developers releasing models near the cutting edge at far lower prices. Alibaba's Qwen team this year open sourced the Qwen3-TTS family - a set of speech-generation models featuring voice cloning and voice design - and Fish Audio made the S2 speech model's weights publicly available.

What This Could Mean for Your Portfolio

Here is the through-line: ElevenLabs is betting that businesses will pay for more than a bargain-bin model.

America Is Running Out of Debt Buyers. Treasury Bills Are the Government's Fix
  • The government took in about $5 trillion in taxes in 2025 and spent about $7 trillion, and the national debt is now over $40 trillion.
  • Investors, banks, and foreign countries are all lending less to the U.S., so starting September 9 the government plans to sell more short-term treasury bills and use that cash to buy back its long-term debt.
  • Government interest rates set the floor for your mortgage, your car loan, and your credit card, and short-term Treasury ETFs like SGOV are one way investors are playing it.

What a Tariff Dividend Means for Your Money
  • A "tariff dividend" is the idea of taking money the government collects from tariffs and paying some of it back to citizens.
  • To judge the idea, you first need to know what a tariff is: a tax on imported goods, usually paid by the companies bringing them in.
  • Tariffs ripple through prices, businesses, and your investments, so the smart move is understanding those ripples, not just the headline.

No Tax on Overtime: How Overtime Pay Is Taxed
  • "No tax on overtime" refers to a tax break that lets certain workers deduct some overtime pay, lowering the income they get taxed on.

Reading the Silver Price Forecast for 2026
  • Nobody can honestly promise a specific silver price for 2026. Any exact number is a guess, so treat forecasts as opinions, not facts.
  • Silver is unusual because it is both a precious metal and an industrial metal, so its price answers to two very different forces.
  • Instead of chasing a forecast, learn the drivers - inflation, interest rates, recession fear, and industrial demand - so you can judge any prediction yourself.
